Sculpture "The Thorn Puller" around 1900 from the Gottfried Schumacher & Co Osterode workshops for art and decorative arts. Good condition. Upper left hand with slight loss of material, otherwise in good condition. The manufactory existed from 1887 - 1929 in Osterode Harz, founded by Gottfried Schumacher, and continued by his sons in the 1920s. Dimensions Height: 30 cm Width 19 cm Depth 27 cm. The Capitoline thorn puller is a representation of antiquity from the 5th century BC and was widely used in the fine arts, especially sculpture. The figure is sold.
