A real classic, the Senator Chair by Ole Wanscher (1903-1985), Wanscher was an architect and professor whose designs are still modern classics. His pieces are accessible and elegant, often with sleek and slightly curved lines. Wanscher, who studied under masters such as Kaare Klint, made a name for himself in the late 1940s and early 1960s. In 1958, the Danish newspaper “Politen” wrote: “Owning a Wanscher armchair is an experience every day, and it will remain that way for several hundred years.
