126 x 93 cm. The situation of the freshly forged sword Notung from a field forge was illustrated here.
Leeke has been studying at the Munich Art Academy since 1881 under Ludwig von Herterich and Alexander von Liezen-Mayer. His main work includes illustrating the operas of Richard Wagner (1813-1883). On behalf of his son Siegfried Wagner, a series of pictures based on his father's Germanic pieces was created. Good original constitution from around 1905. Signed lower left: Ferdinand Leeke Munich.
