Fruit still life Jalka by Struppi-Wolkensperg

Still life by the well-known Croatian artist, she painted portraits and still lifes (flowers) in an academic manner. Studied at the art academy in Vienna and Munich 1889-1896. She took part in the exhibition of the Society of Croatian Artists in 1898 and in the Lada exhibitions in Sofia in 1906 and in Zagreb in 1908. She exhibited independently in Zagreb in 1918, 1922 and 1937. Jelka Struppi Wolkensperg died in Zagreb in 1946.
In 2021, an exhibition on this deaf-mute artist was held by the “World of Silence” association in Zagreb.
