Portrait / self-portrait of the well-known painter Gerhard Merfort born in Hennersdorf in 1927. Studied at the art academy in Dresden and Vienna. Student of Prof. Dachauer and Prof. Böckel, where he was taught portrait and nude painting. Since 1946, M. has worked as a freelance artist and went on study trips to France (Paris) and Italy.
