Verso; Dimensions, work number (414), title.The work comes from the estate of the artist or his wife Christina.Bachmann painted this impressive work during his trip to Egypt at the beginning of the 20th century.The flooded flatland on the edge of the Nile fascinated B. and reminded him to the Wadden Sea of his homeland. The educated German from a good family captured this amazing landscape with the pyramids of Giza towering on the horizon in typical style.
