Ewald Oesinghaus dunes with seascape on Sylt. Dimensions 59 by 79 cm.
Oesinghaus was a self-taught painter. He lived in Neumünster from 1890 to 1963 and was a very productive and quite successful painter. Most of his pictures show North German landscape motifs from the surroundings of Neumünster or the Lüneburg Heath. This work shows the island of Sylt with a view of the North Sea surf in imperial weather in the summer. The work is in the best original condition. The work is sold!
