Landscape painter Erich Eyler Kummenfeld 1925-2001 worked in the environment of Rudolf Stelling Max Werner and Ewald Oesinghaus. Eyler was a self-taught painter, he mainly painted landscape motifs and peasant cottages from his home in Schleswig-Holstein. Eyler based his painting style on the Post-Impressionist Berlin School.
